Which convertible suits a couple and which suits a small group?
For two people, both cars work and the choice is about style. For three or four people, the Dawn is the convertible to book, because it is listed with four seats.
The Dawn is the choice when the occasion calls for the Rolls-Royce name, for example a birthday, an anniversary or a proposal. Our guide on birthday, proposal and honeymoon rentals explains how to plan the day around the car.
The GTC suits drivers who want a newer car and plan to drive more themselves. Its all-wheel drive and the lower rate per extra kilometre make it the more practical option for a longer day on the road.
If you only need a convertible for the evening, consider when you drive. Our article on the best night drives in Dubai lists routes that suit an open roof.
When is the best time to drive with the roof down?
The cooler months are the most comfortable for an open-top drive in Dubai. In summer, plan the drive for the evening and keep the roof closed in the midday heat.
Demand for convertibles is highest in the cooler season, so book early if you have fixed dates. We cover the seasons and the practical side of open-top driving in our guide on the best time to rent a convertible.
Before you leave, check that the roof opens and closes smoothly at handover, and ask our team to show you the controls. Sunglasses, sunscreen and water belong in the car at any time of year.
What does a two-day convertible rental cost?
Two days in the Dawn cost AED 5,800 excluding VAT, or AED 6,090 with 5% VAT. Two days in the GTC cost AED 6,000, or AED 6,300 with VAT.
Two days include 500 km. If you drive 60 km more, the Dawn adds AED 1,500 at AED 25 per km and the GTC adds AED 1,200 at AED 20 per km. On a long weekend with extra kilometres, the price gap between the two cars can therefore shrink or reverse.
Fuel, Salik tolls, parking and traffic fines are paid by the renter. The AED 3,000 deposit is blocked on your card and released after the return. These examples use the published daily rates; your quote is the binding figure.
- Rolls-Royce Dawn, 2 days: AED 5,800 + 5% VAT = AED 6,090
- Bentley Continental GTC, 2 days: AED 6,000 + 5% VAT = AED 6,300
- 60 extra km: Dawn AED 1,500, GTC AED 1,200 (excluding VAT)
Which other convertibles can you rent?
The BMW M4 Competition Convertible at AED 1,200 per day is the lower-cost four-seat option, and the Audi R8 Spyder at AED 2,500 per day is a two-seat supercar convertible. Both prices exclude 5% VAT.
The M4 Competition Convertible is a 2026 model with four seats and a 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six. It gives you an open roof for four at well under half the price of the Dawn.
If you prefer a Rolls-Royce but do not need an open roof, the Wraith coupé costs AED 2,500 per day with 624 hp and four seats. The full open-top list, including the Ferrari 488 Spider and McLaren 720S Spider, is on our convertible rental page.
