Should you rent the Porsche 911 GT3 or the McLaren 720S Spider?
Rent the McLaren for maximum power and an open roof at AED 3,200 per day; rent the GT3 for a precise, purist driving experience at AED 3,499 per day (both excluding 5% VAT).
The Porsche 911 GT3 is a two-seat, rear-wheel-drive car with a 4.0-litre engine and 518 hp. The McLaren 720S Spider is a two-seat convertible with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, 710 hp and 770 Nm.
Both carry the same deposit and the same extra km rate, so the comparison really comes down to character and price. The table lists the published figures; values our listings do not state are marked.

How much does each car cost to rent?
One day costs AED 3,499 for the GT3 (AED 3,673.95 with 5% VAT) and AED 3,200 for the McLaren (AED 3,360 with VAT).
For two days, the GT3 comes to AED 6,998 before VAT and AED 7,347.90 with it. The McLaren comes to AED 6,400 before VAT and AED 6,720 with it. The gap is AED 299 per day before VAT, in favour of the McLaren.
Both include 250 km per day and charge AED 25 per extra kilometre, so 30 km over the allowance adds AED 750 on either car. The deposit is AED 3,000 on both. Fuel, Salik tolls, parking and fines are paid by the renter, and weekly or monthly prices are on request.
Why is the more powerful McLaren cheaper?
Power is not the only factor in a daily rate. The GT3 is a 2024 car, while the 720S Spider is a 2019 model.
A newer car with a strong following among enthusiasts can cost more per day than an older one with higher output. For you, this means the 720S Spider gives you 192 hp more than the GT3 for AED 299 less per day, while the GT3 gives you the newer car.
Both cars are part of our sports car range, where you can compare them with the other two-seaters by price.
How does the driving experience differ?
The GT3 is about precision, steering feel and engine response, with a fixed roof. The McLaren is about sheer acceleration, with the option to drive open-top.
The GT3 is the car for drivers who enjoy each corner and gear change. It feels connected and direct, and it rewards a smooth driving style even at legal speeds. Its rear-wheel drive is part of that character.
The McLaren delivers its turbocharged power with an intensity that few road cars match. With the roof down it is also the more theatrical car for sunset drives and city cruising. Both are firm, low cars, so take speed bumps and ramps slowly.
Where can you enjoy these cars legally in Dubai?
On public roads, the posted speed limits apply to every car, enforced by radar. Plan routes with open stretches and quiet hours rather than speed.
Both cars reach 100 km/h in about 3 seconds, which is quicker than many highway limits allow you to go. Fines and black points are the renter's responsibility, so read our overview of Dubai speed limits, radars and fines before you collect the car.
Early mornings, late evenings and longer drives out of the city give you the most open road. Every trip must stay inside the UAE.
Who is each car the better fit for?
Experienced drivers who value feel and precision will enjoy the GT3. Drivers who want the fastest acceleration and an open roof for less money should take the McLaren.
